I have this same exact shoe in burgandy in 39 and it fits perfect. However the black ones I just got also in 39 are so much smaller/shorter. The top part over the toes is like a ballerina flat and really pinches down on my big toes so that after about 15 minutes I can no longer keep them on. I am starting to think the black ones are 2nds or irregulars. Since I can no longer return them and they were the best game in town for black slippers I pulled the inner lining out of them and sliced the thickness in half. That gave me a bit more toe box room. I wanted this brand/style because of the thick heel and good arch support.
