The shape of the sole made me worry this shoe would be too narrow. Out of the box, the right shoe felt tight. Like most people, I have a larger right foot. Decided to wear it anyway to do errands, and it ended up being ok. Did not need breaking in.These shoes are soft leather inside and out with a comfortable arch support.
