I'd first like to state that my fashionista daughter-in-law saw me wearing these shoes with a dress and gave them two thumbs down. She easily negotiates the subway in stilettos.However, I ran many miles daily on pavement in cheap shoe for decades. I am paying the price now with horrible feet. I still like to be able to walk everywhere in the city, but just don't feel old enough to wear clunky athletic shoes with nice, go to museum and restaurant outfits.I consider these shoes to be a compromise between painful beautiful shoes and ugly comfortable ones. They would probably look best hiding under a very long pair of pants. That way, you'd have the fashionable pant length and shoes that don't scream geezer.
