I have this same exact shoe in burgandy in 39 and it fits perfect. However the black ones I just got also in 39 are so much smaller/shorter. The top part over the toes is like a ballerina flat and really pinches down on my big toes so that after about 15 minutes I can no longer keep them on. I am starting to think the black ones are 2nds or irregulars. Since I can no longer return them and they were the best game in town for black slippers I pulled the inner lining out of them and sliced the thickness in half. That gave me a bit more toe box room. I wanted this brand/style because of the thick heel and good arch support.Wedge problem is less support in front of shoe. Needs a platform like design.I bought these as a gift for my mom. She has plantar faciits and her doctor recommended that she wear a slight heel at all times rather than flat shoes. So, I bought her these slightly heeled slippers to wear around the house. She loves them!These slippers are gorgeous, but they are a whole size too small. Very soft & seem to be well made. I will try to order larger if available. I liked themThey are beautiful and comfortable but smaller than regular sizes brandIt is like walking on pillows! I purchased the light beige and it works well with everything I wear. Looks very stylish!The slippers fit my right foot well but are a little tight on the left as well as the back is slightly high, poking into my heel. I do like the 1" heel.They were almost a full size too small, had to return them. But the shoe itself was pretty and it looked well made. I didn’t reorder because the fit was so unpredictable.
