I love these boots. They are my second pair of Spring Step and so far this brand seems true to size. I wear 8.5-9 and have a narrow foot. I’m mostly size 8.5 but I have long toes so it depends on the toe box. I bought these boots in a 9 but I can tell the 8.5 would have fit better. However, I wanted the olive color and 9 is all they had. My only complaint, which I think someone else mentioned, and why I’m knocking off 1 star, is for a pair if Spring Steps, they aren’t very comfortable. The boots as a whole are fine, I’m referencing the foot bed. It lacks cushion. But since I had to order a 9 and I have a little room, I put in some orthotics so this took care of both of my issues. Overall very happy with them.Disappointed in these. Gun metal studs unscrew and fall off. Now I’ve got one boot with a bare threaded screw sticking out. Manufacturer could not replace missing piece and items purchased separately don’t stay on either.I love these boots so much! The first time my Husband saw them on me he was impressed and a little jealous, lol.These boots are quality leather. I've walked in snow in them and my feet remain warm and dry. I don't know if they are supposed to be water resistant or not, but they hold up pretty well.I'm pretty rough on my boots, but because of the thick leather these are pretty forgiving. Excellent tread and grip, comfortable and true to size. And just beautiful...There is one thing that bugs me about them a little, but not enough to nock of a star... The edging of the mesh/fishnet part has a thin wire running though it, that wire can poke out on the sides a little and if you're not carful it could possibly, pretty easily, be pulled out.These fit well, though I was not expecting a fuzzy winter lining from a boot manufactured by a company called Spring Step. Was disappointed that the color wasn't the deep mahogany red that the site shows of the suede net portion. The straps are rather cheap looking in person as well and one is badly scuffed. Fortunately I know how to deal with these issues with leather dye and neatsfoot oil, but for $170 I really shouldn't have to, had I come across these in a store I would have kept on walking, not worth the pricetag if I am honest but not worth the price of sending them back either especially when I already have the supplies I need to make these boots look the way I wanted them to.Love them!
